The Brooklyn Voice is a site with a penchant for a rather quirky approach to being a magazine for the thoughtful consumer of literature, music and the arts in general. It also has a vibe about it with South East Asian roots but equally firmly with its feet in the US. The humour is American but its soul is from the East.
I'm going to keep a good eye on this site because even though aesthetically, it won't please everyone (not yet, anyway), the articles, reviews and ethos of the production team are worthwhile. Please take a look.
I also think they will be moving quite a pace forward in linking in with a number of interesting writers. Catch them on facebook too.

I am truly humbled by the kind words.
We are a few like minded people writing and supporting each other on this magazine (The Brooklyn Voice), where we have vowed not to shut down our creativity and imagination factory. Surprisingly the number of contributors is also increasing. We are equally enthusiastic for every new writer who joins us. Thanks to Hazera for your review.
I will comeback to this link soon again to find out how to join the group.

Forgot to mention "truly honoured" ( I was tempted to write "honor" ;) ). I used the expression "humbled by" in a very positive way...in case it sounds sarcastic.

Hi Asheka
Thanks for the visit! I'm looking forward to reading more from you. I particularly liked your letter at the Daily Star.
I'm also at the awkward place of beginning a book - non-fiction this time and looking into migrant experience to the UK. I'd love to get a US perspective on that so might come knocking on your door at some point....
Take care!

Anytime. By the way check out Bvoice for some new reading. A London based (originally from Brooklyn) musician's new track "Bayridge ave" and a meet with Mr. Nakadai (Japanese film enthusiasts will know)..am some more interesting reading.
Stay well.
Peace
